After having eaten I went to ladies room and told my son to meet me at the Microsoft store, where I was planning on buying him a game for Xmas and to look at a Surface for my husband. He wasn't there 10 minutes and was told to stop playing the game he was on and asked to leave. When I arrived only moments later, I was upset not to find him there but the salespeople only wanted to show me product. I left and finally found my son visibly upset. I am amazed that they sell products for kids and yet won't allow the kids to be in the store? He is 11, not 6, he wasn't doing anything wrong and was simply playing one of the games they have on display while waiting for me... isn't that the point?! Further, the store was quite empty so not like he was hogging time away from others like I have seen in the past. I will never go to this store again, their behavior was rude, and dangerous considering this was where I had planned to meet him. Unnacceptable!
If possible try to avoid Microsoft stores at all, disappointing and unpleasant experience. I went to fix my surface device.Customer service representative just doesn't want to feel your need and goes by the book of rules. Maybe I just had a bad luck with the rep, but when another gentelman came in (with kinder look), I was already leaving the store in tears. I think big company such as Microsoft should invest more funds and training into customer support program, because regardless of the technology, loyal customers are the still best assets. Good luck to anyone who needs technical support with their Microsoft devices.
