Went to pick up a Xmas gift for my granddaughter. They had what I needed, but I was disappointed that there was only one brand to choose from. I would have liked to compare better quality with lesser quality and price differences.
Asked again 5 minutes later. Was told manager, didn't have enough coverage. But 4 associates all hanging around the return desk. Hmmm, don't you think ringing customers out, getting money is more important, then staring at some paperwork?? That one girl staring at the paperwork just ignored all the customers, and went back to working on her paper.
Went to check out, and there was nobody on the registers. Asked at there return desk, and one lady said she was to busy. People were wanting to check out but no help
I went there early Christmas Eve 6am to pick up some last-minute gifts. I expected them to be a little wiped out but they were in surprisingly good condition. There were a few shoppers there but not too many.
Just spoke with a Melissa at the Danbury branch, seeking a 48 hour hold on a layaway. This person was cold and uncaring. Did not even ask for any details. Bluntly stated that ALL layaways needs to be picked up tomorrow are the items would be returned to the floor. The sale person would not even consider 24 hours. This is a terrible business model and This is not the place to shop for the holidays. In fact, I would argue that their business model does not recognize nor uphold the meaning of Xmas. Avoid this place if you can. It is no surprise that this entire chain is struggling with bankruptcy.
Still a "go to" for the newest and biggest selection of toys and games ... they also still have some of the best return and resolution policies if there is any problem
