My husband and I went last night. Service was so slow, we almost left. We waited over half an hour for our food. The food was dried out as if it sat under the heat lamps for the whole half hour. We won't be going back.
Service and food was fine. Thought about giving 4 stars, but did quite make it. The BIG problem is they still haven't changed the tip calculations on the bill. You do NOT tip based on tax included, just the actual bill. I've complained in the past, but nothing has changed. Perhaps a call to the state attorney general might get results.
I ordered a steak for $27.00 It was about 2 millimeters thick. Absolutely the most pathetic cut of meat I've ever seen. I thought it was a joke. I should have went to Chucks Steakhouse and got a real piece of meat. The waiter asked me if I enjoyed the steak. I said not at all. He shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Done with this place.
My review is an unfavorable one. Our party of six was told there would be a 15-20 wait. I was pleasantly surprised when we were seated almost immediately. However, that's the end of the pleasantries. We didn't see anyone from the wait staff for more than 20 minutes until I stopped a very sweet young lady who told me it was not her station, but she would gladly help us. She took our drink order and efficiently delivered it along with some bread. Then a second, third, fourth and fifth person waited on us. We were totally confused as to who was working with us. This is not to mention the food. My wife's spaghetti was so undercooked and her chicken was dry and tasteless. My granddaughters burgers were also undercooked and cold and her french fries were extremely salty. My daughter's sandwich was also cold. My pizza style chicken & spaghetti was cold. We also ordered five pieces of cheesecake to go with an additional one to be served at the table for my grandsons birthday. After more confusion they arrived. Both my daughter & I spoke to a manager as we were waiting for our desserts & he apologized & said they were short staffed. He said there was no excuse for the poor service or poor quality of food. I was hoping that there might have been some compensation, but the only thing we received was a free slice of cheesecake to my grandson for his birthday. I will certainly think twice about returning to the Danbury Cheesecake Factory.
Great waiter. 4 out of 5 entrees were very good. Southwest salad was soggy. Drinks expensive. Entrees, appetizers fair price. 5 of us $198 + $40 tip.
