St Vinnie's @ 1075 W Jackson St said you can "suck (their) d*cks" because THEY are "in charge" of Danbury!
This low-life stole my wallet from my place of employment, a large retail chain where I am a manager and located in Danbury. By simply providing them with the most basic information I could glean from the surveillance video of the theft, Patrolman Marino and his colleagues within the DPD were able to locate the perpetrator immediately and inform me that she was actually my next door neighbor (which was by pure coincidence, as it happened). They then contacted her and informed her that if she did not give the wallet back (she admitted taking it, but that the $600 cash that was inside of it wasn't there when she found it) she would be arrested and charged with some sort of larceny. She eventually gave it back once she got back from New York City, where she went for the weekend clearly to spend it, but nonetheless, I had my license, social security card, credit and debit cards and other ID's in there and was able to recover them, thanks to their persistence and firm voicemail messages, which she totally deserved. THANKS DPD! Ya'll are the BOMB!
No police presence whatsoever on Danbury's west side... along Joe's Hill Rd area in particular.
All joking aside, why does one write a review of a PD? When they feel their local Police Officers go out of their way to be helpful and serve the community. Brought my car and baby's car seat here for an installation check (many PDs offer this for free - check with yours) and the Officers were so incredibly nice: informative, helpful and kind. People seem to love to discuss all of the things that the Police do wrong, but it's important to call out the many things they do right. While I only interacted with 2 of the Officers, I can't imagine that this experience was a rarity. A big thanks to the Danbury PD for their help and their service.
Awful. Worst trained officers. I've witnessed multiple police brutality on people. Unprofessional.
Put a cruiser or 2 on Joe's Hill Rd on a weekend (Sunday especially) and please STOP THESE IDIOTS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT!!
Motorcycles and quad runner complaints have yielded no relief at all from this nonsense.
