OMG! Puppies! That you can hold, and play with as long as you want. The employees are amazing... patient and friendly. And given that they are constantly getting out or returning a puppy, mostly for kids, kudos to them. You also see them cleaning the pens often, as soon as they notice a mess. I've been there in rainy days when there is no school and its packed, and the employees still manage to be friendly and patient. But be warned, it is full of puppies, so yes, when you first walk in, you get hit by the smell, but once you hold your first puppy, you don't even notice.
If I could give this place 1/4 of a star- I would. Came in here one day to look at puppies and was SHOCKED AT how disgusting the place way. Dirty, filthy location, probably full of sick puppies. Please do not support these kinds of stores/ Puppy Mills. The only reason I would give it 1/4 of a star is because the puppies are cute.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Puppies are all from puppy mill broker Hunte Corp and the store is owned by a Hunte sales rep who lives in MO. Neighboring businesses complain about the trucks unloading puppies. Cages are dirty, water isn't clean. Inflated prices for mutts from mills with designer names. Go to a reputable breeder if you want a purebred! If you can't meet the mother, walk away!
It pains me to give this place even one star. My mother purchased a puppy from Puppy Kisses in October 2017 and has had nothing but problems since. The dog was brought to the vet within the first week of having her home, only to find an infection of giardia, a parasite infecting the gastrointestinal tract. According to the vet, it is protocol for pet stores test for giardia before selling their dogs, but according to Puppy Kisses, they do not. Not only did the puppy need to be put on antibiotics, but the other dog in the home needed to be medicated as well due to the extremely contagious nature of the infection. The first round of antibiotics did not cure the infection, and the puppy needed to be brought back again for another round of medication. Along with the giardia infection, the puppy also has a cough that has gotten progressively worse since they day my mother brought her home. At this point, the dog cannot go more than a minute without coughing until she gags. She is now at the vet YET AGAIN and after receiving an x-ray which will have to be sent to a radiologist for further examination, she will most likely have to be taken to a specialist. I have seen plenty of other reviews involving sick puppies from this store and I am absolutely disgusted. The condition of the dogs sold by Puppy Kisses is absolutely revolting and this will not be the last that they hear about this issue. Bottom line, this place needs to be shut down immediately.
Wish I could give it 0 stars... in the very back of the building there are cages stacked with dogs who live in their urine and stools (which are scarcely picked up) and who live there with NO exercise, NO human contact, and denied the basics a puppy NEEDS to thrive. The front of the store, which has the cages with the dogs that you can pick up and play with, still lie in their urine and stools, but at least the are socialized with humans. Yet none of these dogs are getting the attention they deserve. They are kept with their littermates, and are not socialized with other dogs. They all eat the same food, same amount. Seriously, a great dane puppy will get the exact same amount as a chihuahua. PLEASE DO NOT support these selfish breeders - these dogs come from puppy mills, where the mother dogs are bred until their teats can contract diseases/or are so long they touch the ground, and the puppies are sick. There is a thing called over breeding - a female dog should only be bred once MAYBE, MAYBE, MAYBE, twice a year in order to have healthy puppies. But these dogs are bred multiple times a year; they are bred again as soon as they have a litter. Many of the mother dogs at puppy mills stop losing the bond with their puppies and can fail to properly nourish them. In cases where there is a runt and the mother wont provide her milk, they just "euthanize" the dog. They kill it. These puppies that come from these sick facilities are transported to your grande, puppy palace that takes QUALITY CARE of the puppies. (Note the sarcasm) Now I wonder what their definition of quality care is, because this place is filthy and close to illegal.
