Before you can even get in the door you'll have to find parking. Good luck, there's about thirty five spots. Arriving an hour before opening today, I got the last spot and there was a line of about 100 people waiting in line for it to open in 25 degree weather. I decided to come back another day, but due to the tiny lot and tons of people without spots, cars are just waiting in any free space there is, so I was trapped in my spot for thirty minutes, then spent another thirty trying to escape the lot. Imagine how much more of my day I'd have to waste of I actually got inside. It takes five minutes to renew a license, we can't do this online? The terrorists have won.
Good or bad, you need to park and get in to find out. But, parking lot is the worst part! You can spend one hour waiting for a parking spot alone. The rotation is very slow because there are always huge lines inside. No street parking or parking garages nearby. We demand some of our tax money here to improve the parking condition of this government facility, instead of throwing on the project at I-84 exit 6 that has lasted of two years and has been getting worse and worse.
Probably one of the most inefficient establishments I've e ever been to in my entire life. First time I went to go get my learners permit. It took almost 3 hours and the lady wasn't even sure about what she was saying. Kept showing back up because she said they would send it to me in the mail and they were continuously give me the run around. It's a shame that I pay tax dollars and this is what I have to deal with . They definitely need to train their staff better; one person is saying one thing and someone else another . Took over a month for them to get the story straight. After 10 visits and 21 phone calls ... so if you like wasting your time and being on hold for over 45 minutes, I would recommend going here.
I never knew why people hated the DMV so much until I spent FOUR HOURS here just to switch my license from New York to Connecticut. Parking alone is a nightmare, it seems as if they have more employee spots than customer spots. This place is a joke. I got there around 8:30 am and didn’t leave until 12:30. Had to wait for fourdifferent “checkpoints.” (Checking in and getting a number, going to someone else for them to look at everything and take our documents, getting an “eye test,” then processing everything) this easily didn’t have to be done by multiple employees!!! It took them forever to call us up for the eye test and they didn’t until I went up to them and said something-3 minutes later they called our name. It happened to other people as well. Then while waiting for the final part of the process there was only ONE LADY behind the counter. This lady left for a half an hour - I’m assuming she went on her lunch break. It was absolutely ridiculous. Avoid at all costs if you value your sanity.
ive had horrible service here, like -5* service but there are a FEW nice, good workers there
